The Safe house Project
The concept of The Safe House Project is simple: provide a space for youths to meet, greet and (most importantly) eat with other youths.
The Safe House seeks to provide a comfortable environment for youths to feel exactly that; SAFE! A place where they don't have to worry about conforming or sharing what’s on their mind, and a place where prayer through action is encouraged.
Initially this space took the form of a small garage in Tal-Ibragg; but God was faithful and a few months after the opening of Safe House the St. Julian's Parish church offered us their youth centre. The centre had fallen into disuse over the past few years but the team didn't shy away from a challenge. The troops were gathered and with the backing of much prayer, and much sweat, the youth centre was transformed into the space we know and love today!
Regardelss of the new, bigger space, the mission of the Safe House Project remains the same; to provide not just a house, but a home for youths looking to relax, play some games, seek advice and chug down a mug of coffee or two - all in the vicinity of our Safe House.
Safe House is open every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 19:30 - 22:30
